Red Poppies Pattern Fabric and Wallpaper

Poppy design based on hand printed linocut, a beautiful combination of red, purple and green. This design is based on a two colour linocut, printed up on my hand operated 19th century proofing press in my studio here in Scotland.  Two colour linocuts lend themselves to bold, striking designs suitable for larger scale items of homeware such as bedding, cushions or pillows.

The 19th Century Arts and Crafts movement is a source of inspiration to me, and both the theme of this design and its hand cut, printed execution reflects the methods used by the artists at that time.
