Got someone you still need to get a present for? Why not make them a half apron, especially if they are a keen baker or chef? It's a super easy project you can make from two half quarters, plus some trimmings and a length of fabric for a waistband. I made this one with a fat quarter of my Brown Hens design, available from Spoonflower here.
You don't need to have a pattern - you can follow my step by step instructions on my free tutorial here to adapt the apron to the materials you have available.
It's a very simple case of rounding off the bottom corners of two fat quarters of fabric for the back and front of the apron.
Using a running stitch to make your trimmings into a ruffle, sandwich the ruffle between the two fat quarters turned right sides together.
Turning your apron the right way, sandwich the top part into a length of material which will serve as the waist band and top stitch it! Easy peasy, and looks great! For full details of how to make it and suggested measurements, download the tutorial here and order the Brown Hen fabric here.
