Parakeets noisily flying through the parklands of London, seeking cherry blossom to eat.  The flocks of ring-necked parakeets which now live in the parks and woodlands across London and the surrounding area inspired this statement print.  This print reproduces three linocuts of parakeets in a beautiful light green, with accents of deep pink and black.  The cherry blossom is created from a collograph in shades of pink and grey.  The quality of this digital print captures the 3D quality of the collograph in perfect detail.  You can find out more about the design process here.

This is a large scale print measuring 50cm x 70 cm (20in x 28in).  The measurement of the parakeet coming in to land is 21cm across and 21.5cm in height.  The print is a delicate blend of greens, pinks and greys.  This set of colours means the print is a wonderful centrepiece for any room containing plants, as you can see.

Please note - the colour of the actual print and how it appears on your monitor may vary.  This is especially the case with this print!  The green and greys are muted and contrast with the bright pink of the blossom and the parakeet beaks.

This statement print is sold unframed. In order to protect the print, it is recommended that you have it framed as soon as possible.  Your print will arrive rolled in a poster tube. Your framer will be able to flatten it and frame it according to your wishes. If you wish to flatten the print yourself, place the print between two flat, clean boards. Weigh the boards down with books. After several days, you can remove it and frame it yourself.
