This  is a hand made print of a kingfisher hunting fish.

Close to my house, there is a stream in a wooded area.  During Springtime, if you're lucky, you will see a kingfisher flash by.  Their dazzling feathers are a wonderful sight.  

The printed area is 47 x 18cm and the paper is 50 x 23cm. It is a two colour linocut, with the lower plate printed in a burnt orange and an overlay of bright blue-green.  It is printed on handmade paper.

All of my prints turn out slightly differently – depending on where the plate is placed on the paper, how much ink is rolled on, and how much pressure is used to transfer the ink from the linocut onto the paper. This is a limited edition print of 20.
