Hen Looking Back
This is a hand made print of a hen looking back, a linocut printed up in red oil based ink on rice paper. This print was inspired by a flock of hens we stayed beside while on holiday in Anglesey, Wales, for 2 weeks. My little girl loved feeding them.
The printed area is 21 x 8cm and the paper is 30 x 18cm. All of my linocut prints turn out slightly differently – depending on where the linocut is placed on the paper, how much ink is rolled on, and how much pressure is used to transfer the ink from the linocut onto the paper. This is a limited edition print of 100, with 50 on rice paper and 50 on banana tissue.
As you can see from the last picture, I exhibit these prints in a white wooden frame - in this case alongside another hen print in rice tissue paper. The print will arrive in a poster tube. It is packaged into a clear plastic bag, which has been reinforced with a card insert.
Thanks for showing an interest in my prints!
